B.I.K.E. is an exploration of the Black Label Bicycle Club (BLBC) and the wider freak bike subculture that has grown up around it. Started in Minneapolis in 1994 BLBC has inspired rival clubs and grown into an international subculture with hundreds of members worldwide. Comprised mainly of artists driven by anti-materialism and a belief that the impending apocalypse will render cars useless and bicycles in power, BLBC battles mainstream culture and rival gangs for its vision of a better tomorrow. Pulling threads from Critical Mass and the wider bike counterculture, B.I.K.E. is a definitive look at the intersection of subculture, radical politics, group dynamics and personal identity.

after a successfull benefit last friday in the oPeRaTiNg tHeAtRe, there will be a follow-up on tuesday 14 november. this time with two longer documentaries that give a deeper insight in the situation in mexico and the uprising of the teachers, followed by planning an action for the international action callout for 20 november.

Na een succesvol benefiet afgelopen vrijdag in het Operating Theatre in Amsterdam, vindt er op dinsdag 14/11 een vervolg plaats op dezelfde lokatie. Dit keer met 2 langere documentaires die meer inzicht geven in de situatie in Mexico en de lerarenopstand, en vervolg aktieplanning

Massive demonstrations and occupations of the city centre are being
violently repressed by Mexican police and para-military force. Allready 12
people have been murdered and many more have been injured or disappeared.
Still more and more military troops are arriving to evict the APPO’s (
oaxaca people’s assembly) 6 month encampment of the city.
